When I began lampworking the only ways information was shared was through internet discussions, conversations or in a class or workshop.
Watching other artists work is my favorite way to learn.
A new way of learning has popped up recently with the advent of tutorials.
Some artists are publishing some of their most popular works with step by step instructions on how to create them.
I have a love hate relationship with them, but have certainly purchased some.
What follows here, are some examples I have created with their endorsement.
While my goal is to use their techniques and go on to create my own ideas, I always start with a few accurate copies to get a sense of what the teaching is showing me.
I don't think my "copies" belong out for sale in the same place they show their work, if at all, but I do love their designs and my renditions of them.
So, to all you tutorial writers, thanks...
Here's to you...
